PORTSMOUTH PADUCAH PROJECT OFFICE
Message From Robert Edwards, PPPO Manager
As the situation surrounding the coronavirus continues to escalate around the country, I know we are all concerned about our families, co-workers, and ourselves. The health of all employees working within the PPPO Program is important and something I am committed to protecting.
On Monday, March 23, at 6:00 p.m., in cooperation with the ongoing fight against the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Department of Energy's Portsmouth Paducah Project Office (PPPO) will focus on minimum mission-critical activities and maximize telework at the Paducah and Portsmouth cleanup sites
This temporary measure will allow DOE and contractors to maintain mission-critical operations in an environment that minimizes widespread exposure to the virus. All PPPO contractor and subcontractor employees currently working on active projects will be compensated through one of the following scenarios:
1 ) Employees identified as necessary to continue critical operations, who will remain on their normal work schedule, at their respective sites,
2) Employees identified as having teleworking capabilities and assignments, and
3) Employees who are identified as performing non-mission critical activities, and are not eligible for telework
This non-mission critical suspension will be in effect over the next two weeks, and will then be re-assessed at that time.
Additional direction will be forthcoming from your companies as to your individual status and how to comply with your companies HR policies and procedures to enact our current situation.
Thank you for your service to the PPPO cleanup mission,
Robert
